Kathmandu

Toto, I dont think we’re in Singapore anymore.   Now 4o hours in, the boys have settled in to the hectic pace of Kathmandu.  The dimly lit, poorly run Airport was the first hint at our arrival in a developing country.   A full day wandering the streets sealed the deal… pictures tell the tale best:

Saturday we made the obligatory walk through the tourist district of Thamel, making arrangements for our upcoming trek and taking in local shrines & sites like Durbar Square.   Signs of the devastating 2015 earthquake are everywhere… piles of bricks, bamboo scaffolds, collapsed temples.
